Hi, I’m Michal, an artist, creator, and collaborator who believes art is a journey best shared. Since 1996, I’ve been on a mission to explore creativity, push boundaries, and inspire others to join me in crafting meaningful experiences. Here’s my story and the vision behind LeCecil.com.

My Journey in Art

• The Beginning (1996): My love for art started with European alternative comics. Their vibrant illustrations and deep storytelling mesmerized me, and I spent thousands of hours perfecting this style.
• Graphic Design and Street Art (2004): Studying graphic design expanded my horizons, leading me to street art and graffiti. I found liberation in bending perspectives and creating personal, interactive stories on public streets.
• Collaborative Comix Sessions (2010): I created a unique format where people—artists and non-artists—came together to co-create comic strips from random words. It was an exhilarating experience of connection, creativity, and expression.
• Abstract Conversations (2013): Moving to the UK, I collaborated with a friend to create abstract UV-reactive canvases. This phase was an unstructured, expressive exploration fueled by vibrant colors and mutual inspiration.
• Travel-Inspired Creations (2018): My travels across Europe became a canvas of their own. I merged illustration, storytelling, and language learning into postcards and art inspired by life on the road.
• Woodworking and Beyond (2021): Back in England, I discovered a passion for sculpture, marionettes, stop-motion animation, and apparel design. Though rewarding, I realized that solitary creation wasn’t fulfilling—I craved collaboration.

A Turning Point

The advent of AI art made me rethink my approach. While technology excels at creating stunning visuals, I realized my true passion lies in the journey: the freedom, creativity, and joy of collaboration. I embraced a new process where unpredictability and fun replaced perfection, making every line an adventure.

My Vision Today

In Portugal, 2024, I developed an art approach blending freedom, creativity, and collaboration:

• Highly Abstract and Playful: My art invites viewers to craft their own narratives, unlocking personal interpretations.
• Collaborative by Design: Through gamified techniques, workshops, and interactive products, I aim to break barriers and fears, enabling anyone to co-create and enjoy the artistic process.
• Expanding Horizons: I’m translating my artistic language into commercial applications, from packaging and interior design to visual communication and beyond.
